    Itinerary
    Day 01

    Arrival / Colombo / Negombo

    Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo for a restful start by the coast. Settle into your hotel and breathe in the ocean air. End the evening with an optional canal cruise or a sunset walk along the beach.

    Negombo / Kandy (by road)

    Drive into the island’s green heartlands and arrive in Kandy the cultural capital. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth where pilgrims bring flowers and prayers. Spend the evening strolling by Kandy Lake or exploring its lively market streets.

    Scenic Train: Kandy to Nanu Oya / Nuwara Eliya

    Board the train for one of the most iconic rides in Asia from Kandy to Nanu Oya. Watch as tea plantations sweep by and mist curls around the hills. Continue to Nuwara Eliya often called Little England and wander through Gregory Lake and colonial streets.

    Highlands Retreat / Optional Horton Plains

    Wake early if you wish to visit Horton Plains where a gentle hike leads to the sheer drop of World’s End. Return for a leisurely afternoon of tea factory visits or garden walks. Enjoy the cool mountain air and the warmth of fireside comforts.

    Scenic Train: Nanu Oya to Ella

    Step onto the hill country train again for the journey to Ella. The ride moves slowly through viaducts tunnels and wide valleys where waterfalls cascade from distant cliffs. Arrive in Ella and check in to a boutique stay with sweeping mountain views.

    Descend from the hills on a scenic road journey to the southern coast. Pause at Buduruwagala rock carvings if you wish before continuing to your beach retreat. End the day with your feet in the sand as the sun melts into the sea.

    Coastal Relaxation or Galle Day Trip

    Spend the day in full leisure with the ocean as your backdrop. Choose to swim read or simply watch the waves or take a day trip to Galle Fort to explore its colonial charm and seaside cafés. Seasonal whale watching in Mirissa and lagoon boat rides are also possible.
